Principal’s Message

A woman with short, gray hair smiles warmly at the camera.

Dear MetroWest Families,

It is with great pride and heartfelt gratitude that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year. I am honored to serve as the principal of MetroWest Elementary and thankful for the opportunity to learn and lead alongside such a dedicated school community.

Our theme this year, “Anchored in Excellence,” reflects our unwavering commitment to three pillars: attendance, academics, and partnerships. At MetroWest, we believe that consistent attendance lays the foundation for academic achievement, rigorous instruction fuels intellectual growth, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community are key to student success. We are committed to delivering high-quality instruction in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. It is my vision that MetroWest be known not only for academic excellence, but also for fostering a strong sense of community where students, staff, and families work together to exceed expectations. We recognize that education is most effective when schools and families work in harmony. Consistent support, engagement, and communication make a profound difference in our students’ lives. Whether you are connecting with teachers, attending school events, or reinforcing learning at home, your partnership is essential and deeply appreciated.

As we set sail on this new school year, we are filled with excitement about the possibilities ahead. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Each day, we strive to PREPARE, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER our students, and we are grateful that you have chosen MetroWest Elementary to be part of that journey.

With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Shauana L. Harris Ed.S
