Media Center

We are looking forward to seeing all of our MetroWest students in the Media Center. Prior to checking out their first library book, all students will participate in a class orientation.
Students in grades Kindergarten and 1st may check out one book at a time and students in grades 2nd - 5th may check out two books at a time. Students are responsible for all materials checked out. If your child has an overdue library book or books checked out from a previous school, no materials may be checked out until everything is returned.

It is recommended for all students to keep their library books in their classroom when not reading them to prevent books from getting lost. Please note students in grades Kindergarten and 1st will be required to keep their library book at school. Students must pay the cost for replacing all lost materials.

The Media Center at MetroWest Elementary is a busy place. We are always looking for volunteers to help out during book fairs, reading promotions and other events. If you would like to get involved, please sign up to be an ADDitions volunteer.
During the year we will have many reading activities and events to involve your child, our school and your family. Our Media Center will be the place for your child's reading enjoyment.

We all know how important it is to read to children. Children whose families read with them do better in school. Find some questions you can ask your child when reading together.
